Bluey today - all grown up and sassy!
Blue Bird Jewelry Hawaii, a sophisticated, timeless and luxurious jewelry line, was launched in July of 2013.
Inspired by and named after our beloved blue parakeet, Buffy Girl, who went to the Rainbow Bridge on April 2, 2010, each piece of jewelry in our collection is made with lots of love, positive intention and joy.
Our second feathered friend, Chu Chi Girl, joined our family in February 2017. She brought so much light and laughter into our lives and watched many jewelry designs as they were being created from Jana's workbench at home. Sadly, Chu Chi Girl passed away on October 18, 2020 - she will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Our new friend Bluey came home with us on December 10, 2021. He is a funny little guy with a big personality. He started talking (mimicking Jana) after only 6 short weeks and since then has built an impressive vocabulary.
We feature and showcase semi-precious gemstones and freshwater pearls that are hand-selected for their vibrant color, beautiful faceting, luster and uniqueness.
We utilize gold fill, rose gold fill, vermeil and sterling silver metal wire and findings in our designs.
Our aesthetic appeals to women of all ages, with a wide range of personal styles.

Jana has loved jewelry and all things sparkly from a very young age, but was first introduced to beading in her early 20s by a college classmate. Since then, she has learned various jewelry-making techniques and developed her own aesthetic, which eventually evolved into the Blue Bird Jewelry Hawaii line. Jana makes jewelry that she would personally want to wear and stands behind the design and construction of each and every piece in the collection. After 5-1/2 years of doing numerous pop-up events, trunk shows and craft fairs, in February 2020, Jana's long time dream of opening a boutique came true. For over 6 years, she continued to welcome and build relationships with customers who visited her cozy little boutique at Ward Centre. After closing the boutique on June 20, 2026, Jana has been working from home, continuing to make pretty, sparkly things by hand with lots of love, positive intention and joy. She will be returning to pop-up events and craft fairs so stay tuned on when and where you can shop Blue Bird jewelry in person again. Gavan - Best Assistant Ever Gavan is the backbone of Blue Bird Jewelry Hawaii and assists with photography, quality control, tagging, and event logistics.
